Fern Marie Jordan

Fern Marie Seymour Jordan, age 72, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Mrs. Jordan was a native of Biloxi and a resident of Gulfport. She loved her family fiercely. She loved watching birds, the Tennessee Mountains, reading, visiting The Greater City of New Orleans, taking part in anything Mardi Gras, learning her heritage, and her dog, Ma Cherie. She will be remembered for her free spirit, contagious smile, and beautiful heart. Fern is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Regina Seymour; her sisters, Grace Batia and Eunice Flowers; and her brother, Dennis Seymour, Sr. Survivors left to cherish her memory are her husband, William "Bill" Jordan; children, Sara (Joey) Miller, Susan (Donny) Wicks, Troy (Bonnie Jones) Husley, Gwen (Cleo) Waits, Joey Jordan, and Brandi Burton; grandchildren, Jamie Funderburk, Jessica Miller-Riddle, Kraig Funderburk II, Katie Miller, Jacob Waits, Ashten Richard, and Bryce Jones; great-grandchildren, Justice Funderburk, Jara Riddle, Julius Funderburk, Kraig Funderburk III, Layla Richard, Anna Kate Richard, Taylor Chereskin, and Laura Jo Chereskin; sister, Jean Ann Duhon; brother, Raymond Seymour, Sr.; sister-in-law, Joyleen Seymour; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with a 11:00 a.m. memorial service, all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home.
