Florence (Flossie) Cheairs Redd

On November 20, 2016, Florence (Flossie) Cheairs Redd passed away suddenly and quietly in Ocean Springs, MS. Flossie was born in Tupelo, MS on November 24, 1951 to Thomas and Marguerite Cheairs. After serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War, Flossie married her husband of 37 years, Robert Redd and became the loving mother of Megan, and grandmother of Teagan. An active member in the community, Flossie served on many boards in Lovelock, NV and acted as the head of the Domestic Violence Intervention committee for many years. Flossie is survived by her loving husband, daughter, granddaughter, siblings Thomas Cheairs, Marguerite (Mimi) Penn, Debbie Bulgin, and Jim Cheairs, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Flossie brought light and laughter into this world and she will be sorely missed. It was Flossie’s wish that no services be held in the event of her death, she would much rather you raise a glass in her memory and celebrate life. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
