Flo truly gave so much of herself and absolutely loved life to the fullest. Flo was one of twelve children, born to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kulivan and raised on "The Point" on Oak Street in Biloxi. For decades Flo dedicated her love, her time and services to the Elks Special Children's Christmas Party for the Harrison County School for Exceptional Children. Held annually in December at the Elks, these children were so very special to Flo. "She would buy Christmas presents for the children, carefully wrapping and labeling the presents for each and every child. Her face would light up to see these wonderful children delight in the festivities of the Christmas Party." Flo also operated the Cake Table at the Friday night Elk's Bingo. Flo would bake cakes and brownies, rice-crispy treats and fudge, and sell the sweets at the bingo. All the proceeds from the cake table would be donated to the Biloxi V A's Patient Canteen Books. Flo was a member of the Slovenian Lodge in Biloxi for several decades. She was bestowed the honor of Biloxi Lions Club Mother of the Year. She worked the annual Slavic Golf Tournament in Biloxi for many years, passing out food and drinks to the golfers.
