Floyd George "Sonny" Fountain, Jr.

Floyd George “Sonny” Fountain, Jr., 76, of St. Martin, MS passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 in D’Iberville.

Mr. Fountain was a native of Biloxi and a longtime resident of St. Martin. He retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve, the Beau Rivage Casino and Textron/Halter Marine. Mr. Fountain was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville and a 4^th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus D’Iberville Council #9094.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie and Floyd Fountain, Sr.

Mr. Fountain’s survivors include his wife of 55 years, Susan Trahan Fountain; his sons, Jeffrey (Jill) Fountain and Craig (Catherine) Fountain; his sister, Janice (Ronnie) Miller; his brother, Rodney “Butch” (Sandra) Fountain; his grandchildren, Lauren (Justin) Brandt, Cecilia (Cameron) Platt, Cassidy Fountain and Jack Barrett; and his great-grandson, Bennett Brandt.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 9094 in D'Iberville or to St. Vincent de Paul, D'Iberville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until Mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
