Forrest Alex Morrison, age 76, of D’Iberville, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013.
Forrest was a native of Broxton, GA, but was a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1970. He served in USAF for 24 years. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and sportsman. Forrest was the owner and operator of Grossman and Morrison Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in D’Iberville. He was a faithful member of Masonic Lodge in Tupelo, MS, Loyal Order of Moose #332 in D’Iberville, V.F.W. Post Biloxi and Charter Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles. Forrest was known for his love of country, community and family. He volunteered and participated in many activities to help others. He will be remembered as a loyal friend to all who came in contact with him.
Forrest is preceded in death by his parents, Alex B. and Erna Wheeler Morrison; and brother, J.J. Morrison.
His survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Eva Mae Morrison of D’Iberville, MS; daughters, Andrea Feeney of Long Beach, MS, Sandra Morrison of D’Iberville, MS and Chrissy Morrison of D’Iberville, MS; son, Peter Alex (Pam) Morrison, of White Plains, MS; sisters, Faye Moon and Sandra Green both of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Becky Kirkland of Hazelhurst, GA; 6 grandchildren, Audrey, Alicia, Allison, Forrest II, Olivia and Amy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to be made to Fraternal Order of Eagles and Auxiliary, c/o Patty Skinner, 2447 Davidson Rd., Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
