Mrs. Frances Ann Gorman Fegley, 96, of Gulfport, MS, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Fegley was born January 13, 1914, in Medford, MA. She was adoped at four years of age by John Porter Gorman and Agnes Cecelia McGuire Gorman. Her father died when she was 12 in 1926 and her mother passed away on the same date 19 years later in 1945 when Frances was 31. She was raised in the Medford/ Nahant, Massachusetts area. By the age of 21 Frances had sailed twice to Europe. She graduated from the Boston School of Architecture and Interior Design. In 1939 she married Frederic C. Fegley at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Nahant, MA. They had two children, Frederic, Jr. and Susanne. Her husband was a test pilot in WW II, and in 1946 Frances obtained her private pilot's license. Frances and her husband lived on a large schooner sailboat for several years in Long Island, NY. They both took the U. S. Power Squadron boating courses from beginner all the way through celestial navigation. Frances was a devoted and loving wife and mother, a wonderful cook and an awesome interior decorator. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Marblehead, MA and also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years and is survived by her son, Frederic C. Fegley, Jr.of San Francisco, CA, and her daughter, Susanne C. Dunigan of Gulfport; three grandchildren, Sharon (Brad) Jackson of Wetumpka, AL, Theresa (Jeffrey) Jamieson of Southaven, MS, Stephanie Dunigan of Gulfport, and two great-grandchildren of Southaven, MS, Bethany M. Jamieson and Joshua D. Jamieson.

A memorial service is planned for a later date. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
