Mr. Francis Eugene "Gene" Clark, age 68, of Gulfport, died Friday March 21, 2008 in Gulfport.
Gene was a native of Cullom, IL where he graduated high school and while in school he was an Allstate All Star basketball, football and track athelete. He served in the U.S. Army as a ranger in the 82nd Airborne. Gene was a professional parachutist and in 1972 was president of The Thunderbows, a precision parachuting organization. Mr. Clark owned and operated a dive shop in Hawaii prior to moving to Gulfport in 2003. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Gene is survived by his wife, Diana Clark, of Gulfport, his daughters, Karoline Clark and Kristina Faye, both of Washington, his sons, Ralph and Jeff Clark, and a stepson, Ty Hamilton, all of California, his sisters, Rita Looney, of Gulfport, and Sandra Snedden, of Coldwater, MS
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday March 26, 2008 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Mr. Joe Raines of the band Full SX will perform two songs dedicated to Mr. and Mrs. Clark at the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
