Frances Norton Ziz, our mother, 79, of Biloxi went home to Jesus on May 14, 2008. Frances Ziz lived her life as a devoted mother and a devoted Catholic. She was a life long member of Sacred Heart Parish in D'Iberville. She spent her years raising her eleven children and worshiping God in the Church she loved. Her life of devotion to both of these, she leaves as her legacy to those who remain behind- children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frances Ziz was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Ziz, Sr., daughter, Mary Frances Ziz-Doerner, infant son, Michael W. Ziz, her parents, William C. and Stella Ladnier Norton, a brother, William (Bill) Norton, sister, June N. Barras and two infant grandchildren, Daniel and Sadie. She is survived by her sister, Nell Wathern, of Biloxi, four sons, George A. Ziz, Jr. (Barbara), Jeffery D. Ziz (Lisa), Joseph F. Ziz, Sr. (Patti), William V. Ziz, Sr. (fiance', Melissa), six daughters: Nora M. Ziz, Della Z. Fayard (David), Theresa Z. Whiteside (Chuck), Laura Z. Landry (Richard), Catherine Z. Fountain (Craig), Constance M. Ziz. Survivors also include eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, where friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Biloxi City Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, Howard Avenue, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
