Francis Bernard Powers

Francis B. Powers, 74, of Biloxi, died on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Mr. Powers was a resident of Biloxi for 41 years. He is a Decorated Housekeeper with the Biloxi VA, and avid fisherman and reader. He loved the Green Bay Packers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Albina Powers. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gisela Powers; two daughters, Lorraine Claybaker of Blackfoot, ID, Heidi (Mitch) Thornton of Florence, MS; three sons, John Powers of Biloxi, Joey (Maria) Powers of Pueblo, CO, Jeff (Polly) Powers of Biloxi and a sister, Lorraine Ellis of Leominster, MA., eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, December 19, 2011 at Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe. Interment will follow at Biloxi Cemetery.
