Frank J. Doudna, 60, died January 7, 2016. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served for seven years. He worked as a painter and a carpenter in his post-military career.
Frank was a leader at Gulfport High School where he graduated in 1973. He served as a senior class officer and also as a student council representative. He attended college for two years at MS Gulf Coast Community College. Frank loved all sports and was an avid Atlanta Braves and New Orleans Saints fan.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Edith M. and Robert F. Doudna, and one daughter, Amber N. Doudna.
His survivors include one sister, Sharon Jones, one brother, Van Doudna, two daughters Stephanie Usher and Keri Schell, plus three sons, Daniel Doudna, Chad Hill and Aaron Hill. Frank is also survived by one grandson, Trystan Usher.
Funeral is Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on 15th Street, Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi.
