Frank “Red” Hall. 91, of Gulfport died Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Round Rock,
Tex. He was a longtime resident of Gulfport and had recently moved to Austin, Tex. to be close to his daughter and granddaughter. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam, serving 29 years and retiring as a Master Sergeant. He also played worldwide on the military Championship Softball Team. After retiring Mr. Hall was a reserve officer for the Gulfport Police Department. He was a longtime member and served on the Board of Directors of the American Legion. Red was known by his family and friends for his ability to cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Edward and Jennie Marie Hall; a son, Anthony Gerard Hall; and his brothers and sisters.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lena Todaro Hall of Gulfport; his daughter, Melanie Santeford of Austin, Tex; two grandchildren, Jason Wesley Santeford of Houston, Tex. and Amanda Elizabeth Santeford of Austin, Tex.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment follows at Evergreen Gardens, Gulfport with military honors.
