Frank Laverne Myrick, age 94, of Long Beach died Friday, January 2, 2009 in Long Beach.
He was born August 10, 1914 and reared in Daphne, AL. He was a graduate of Fairhope High School, Fairhope, AL and attended Univerity of Alabama for three years and graduated with BS degree from Arkansas State University. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World Warr II for four years, two years as commanding officer of PT submarine patrol ship and three small bases in the Carribbean Area. He served as a Broker-Realtor in real estate sales in Gulfport for thirty years until retirement and was a member of Gulfport Board of Realtors.
He was preceded in death by his father, M.F. Myrick, Mother, Ella Mae Myrick; brother, J. Leon Myrick; and sister, Dottiezel Myrick.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret B. Myrick of Long Beach.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit from 12 noon until the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
