Mr. Franklin "Cecil" Krohn, 78, of St. Martin, died Monday, June 27, 2005, in Biloxi.
Mr. Krohn was a native and lifelong resident of the coast. He was a devoted Catholic, family man and friend to all. He offered his help where ever needed and also helped to raise his three grandchildren. He served in the U. S. Navy in the Pacific during WW II. In the course of his life he worked for Hall's Grocery Store in Biloxi, Ingall's Shipyard, Keesler Civil Service for 30 years and retired in 1987. Mr. Krohn was a member of Sacred Heart Parrish and active in the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ada Bounds Krohn; a son, Robert J. Krohn and a sister, Ada Mae Krohn.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lillian W. Krohn, of St. Martin; a daughter, Pamela Cecilia Harper of St. Martin; his sister, Jewel Higginbotham of Woolmarket; three grandchildren, Leah Harper of Rochelle, VA, Alexander Harper of St. Martin and Mrs. Antonia Dandeneau and her husband, Roland, of Rochelle, VA and numberous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 a. m. Friday, July 1, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where friends may visitfrom 9:30 a.m. till service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
