Fred L. Lemon, a lifelong resident and pioneer of Ocean Springs, MS entered into rest Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
Mr. Lemon attended college at Georgia Tech University and he served proudly in the United States Coast Guard during WWII. Fred was a local business owner, who owned and operated Bayou Marine, Inc. in Ocean Springs, MS for 65 years, one of his many successful endeavors.
He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Rotary Club and the Ocean Springs Yacht Club. Fred was politically engaged in state and local government. The greatest loves of his life were his family, town, ranch, cattle and his interests in real estate.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Kirkpatrick Lemon and Sara Georgia McIntosh Lemon; his beloved siblings, George Lemon, J.K. Lemon, Willie Lemon, Kirk Lemon, Sara Lemon Anderson, Bliss Lemon Pinkerton, Margaret Lewis Lemon Halstead and Elizabeth Lemon Roberts.
He was a devoted father and was survived by his daughters, Deena Lemon, Twyla (Randy) Logan and Angela Taylor; his son-in-law, Allen Taylor; his grandchildren, Tyler Taylor, Dustin Taylor, Emma Taylor and Ryan Logan; his sister-in-law, Eleanor Lemon; his niece, Priscilla Lemon; along with a host of many other beautiful nieces, nephews, cousins and many alike.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 12, 2015 at 11:00 am. Both will be at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lemon Family Cemetery.
