Freddy Lee Smith

Freddy Lee Smith, age 84, of Ocean Springs, passed away on April 16, 2022. He was born on October 8, 1937 in Lantz MD, to Lewis Elmer Smith and Mabel Kendall. Freddy graduated from Thurmont High School, Thurmont, MD in 1955. He enlisted in the United States Marines right out of high school and was honorably discharged in 1960. Freddy then enlisted in the United Stated Air Force in 1960 and was discharged in 1979. He was married to Ruth Dayhoff on February 12, 1960. He loved making and selling wood working crafts. Freddy was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs and the VFW Post 4526.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Ruth Dayhoff Smith; son, Stephen Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Carol Smith of Ocean Springs, MS.

A gravesides service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 12:30 PM.
