Mr. Fred G. Walker, Jr., 69, of Gulfport, MS died Thursday, January 13, 2005, in Biloxi.
Mr. Walker was born in Gulfport and was a resident of the Handsboro Community. He was a graduate of Gulfport High School, attended MS State University and Harvard University where he received a degree in Business and Economics. He was a member of the Harvard Alumni Association. Mr. Walker was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and a member of Handsboro United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the National Mensa.
Preceding Mr. Walker in death were his parents, Fred Walker, Sr. and Clara Eighmey Walker and a brother, Carl E. Walker, Sr.
Survivors include his brother, Paul Walker, Sr. and his wife, Frances; a sister-in-law, Elaine Walker, three nephews, five nieces, three grandnieces and two grandnephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at 1 p.m. at the Handsboro United Methodist Church where friends may visit one hour before service time. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
