Gail Leger "Maw Maw", age 63, of Biloxi, MS, died Friday, April 16, 2010 in Ocean Springs.
Gail was a resident of Biloxi since 1963 and was a member of LeMoyne Boulevard Baptist Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts and took care of family and friends. She fought a courageous four year battle with cancer with the love of her loving Savior. Gail was an inspiration to all who knew her, young and old. She taught a pre-school Sunday School class at LeMoyne Boulevard Baptist Church for many years. Her students loved her and she loved them dearly. Gail was a caretaker for so many people. No matter the time of day or night, she was always willing to lend a helping hand. Gail leaves countless friends and family members behind, whom she cherished and would want you to know how special each and every one of them were to her.
She is preceded in death by her father, James David Hobkirk, Jr. and step-father, Amos D. Kelly.
Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Jackie B. Leger of Biloxi, daughter, Angela Leger of Biloxi, son, Jackie B. (Jamie) Leger, Jr. of D'Iberville, mother, Daisy Allen Kelly of North Biloxi, half-brother, David Hobkirk of Tallahassee, FL, and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, April 19, 2010 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. with service on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
