Gary LeLeaux

Mr. Gary "Poose" LeLeaux, 64, of Biloxi, MS, has passed on to be with the Lord. He died Thursday, October 21, 2010, in Jackson, MS, at University Medical Center where he was being treated for Acute Leukemia, Mr. LeLeaux worked 18 years as a boat captain for Western Atlas. He loved doing his puzzles every morning and watching Wheel of Fortune every night. He would also spend his mornings sitting outside with his two most faithful pets, Bandit and Coco. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to fish and hunt. He was a good cook and enjoyed barbecuing and cooking for his family especially on Sundays. He will be greatly missed. Mr. LeLeaux was preceded in death by his parents, Oswald F. LeLeaux and Louise Premeaux LeLeaux; his brother, Shelton "Nooky" Langlinais; his niece, Karen Langlinais; and his granddaughter, Lacey LeLeaux. Mr. LeLeaux is survived by his wife of 42 years, Letha Smith LeLeaux; his children, Cindy Nelson LeLeaux and her husband, Fabian Nelson of Hammond, LA, Dwayne LeLeaux and his wife, Crystal Strawn LeLeaux, of Gulfport, Kelly LeLeaux Hunt and her husband, Daniel Hunt of Biloxi; his grandchildren, Caley Ibele, Hanna Nelson, Fabian Nelson, Josiah Nelson of Hammond, LA, Danyen LeLeaux and Kyla LeLeaux of Gulfport; his brothers, Richard LeLeaux and his wife, Maggie LeLeaux of Biloxi, Oswald Bay LeLeaux of Biloxi; his sister, Laverne LeLeaux Schwann and her husband, Henry Schwann of Athens, AL; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in his name to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, Leukemia/Lymphoma program, One St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38148-0552. Visitation is Tuesday, October 26, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel where friends may visit one hour before service time.
