Gaynell Mahaley Phelps Ealy, 61, of Gulfport died Monday, January 31, 2011 in Bay St. Louis. Mrs. Ealy was born in Gulfport and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Brax Phelps and Myrtle Parker Phelps; a son, Marvin Glen Ealy; three sisters, Dorothy Bigot, Freddie Enroth, and Elaine Phelps; and a brother, Carl Phelps.
Mrs. Ealy is survived by her husband, Marvin John Ealy of Saucier; two daughters, Amanda Ealy and Ronda Michelle Hebert (Darrel) both of Gulfport; two sons, Bishop John Ealy of Gulfport and Timothy Ray Ealy (Tracy) of Wiggins; a sister, Vesta Cliburn of Gulfport; two brothers, Rodney Phelps (Carol) of Gulfport and Terry Phelps (Janice) of Long Beach; and three grandchildren, Angel Hebert, Cortney Hebert, and
Emily Ealy.
The family thanks all the staff at Dunbar Village in Bay St. Louis and the hospice workers from Hospice Compassus.
The funeral service is Friday, February 4, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until the service. Interment will be a private graveside.
