George Clifford Fero

Mr. George C. Fero, age 72, of Vancleave, MS., died Monday, January 26, 2009, in Vancleave. Mr. Fero was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a 3rd and 4th Degree member of Fred Westbrook Council of the Knights of Columbus in Ocean Springs and a member of the Ocean Springs Geneological Society. He was retired from the Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Aviation Administration and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Veronica Fero and a brother, William E. Fero. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Ellen Mathieu Fero, three daughters, Constance L. Fero, Juliette (Steven) Marting and Maria (Robert) Cherota, two sons, J.P. (Jennifer) Fero and Christopher Jude (Edwinna) Fero, a sister, Mary Loretta Fero Conklin and two grandchildren, Kristen Theresa Previto and Anthony Mitchell Previto. Visitation will be on Friday, January 30, 2009, from 10 AM - 12 Noon, with a 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Bellande Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to Saltillo Mission % St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 502 Jackson Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS. 39564.
