George E. Parker

Mr. George E. Parker, age 74, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Thursday, October 20, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Parker was a lifelong resident of the community and a member of the American Legion. He was a 24 year Army veteran, who participated in the Berlin Airlift and the Korean War. He was also an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lucille Parker and a brother, Herman Parker. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary L. Simmons Parker of Ocean Springs, MS., a daughter, Tracy Boory of Edwards Air Force Base, CA., two sons, Glenn Parker of Glendale, AZ., and David Parker of Ocean Springs, MS., three sisters, Faye Williams of Ocean Springs, MS., Joyce Jenner and Ruth Zanella, both of Orlando, FL., and four grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 23, 2005, from 5-7 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Monday, October 24, 2005, there will be an 11 AM church service, at the First Baptist Church of Vancleave. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
