George Lee Cannette, Sr.

George Lee Cannette, Sr., 85, of N. Biloxi, died Monday, June 4, 2007 in Gulfport. Mr. Cannette was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast, a member of V.F.W. Post # 6731, in D'Iberville, MS and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, World War II. Mr. Cannette was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Arceneaux Cannette, his parents, Julius and Lucy Cannette, two brothers, Elvin and Julius Cannette. Survivors include, four children, Lucy Heise of Latimer, MS, George L. Cannette, Jr. of D'Iberville, MS, Mary Ladnier of Latimer, MS, and Raymond Parker of Woolmarket, one sister, Marie Reinhart and three brothers, Lee Cannette, Sr. of D'Iberville, Andy Cannette and Mike Cannette of Ocean Springs. Survivors also include 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Visitation is on Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
