George Lenon Jordan

Mr. George L. Jordan, 59, of Biloxi, MS, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009, in Gulfport. Mr. Jordan was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. He served with the Biloxi City Fire Department 20 years and retired in 1993. He worked as a shrimper most of his life and also a carpenter, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and football. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his father, James P. Jordan; brother, Marty Jordan; and step-father, Howard Mathieu. Survivors include his wife of thirteen years,Stephenne A. Jordan of Biloxi; two daughters, Rachel Hanson of Gulfport, and Stose Jordan of D'Iberville; two grandsons, Diontae and Izayah Jordan; his mother, Mary Mathieu of Biloxi; and four brothers, James Jordan of Collins, Wiley Jordan of Grand Bay, AL, Michael Jordan of Biloxi, and Johnny Jordan of Perry County, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to the MS Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 55802, Jackson, MS 39296. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2009, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, where friends may visit from 9 a.m. until service time.
