George McFadden Copeland, Sr.

George McFadden Copeland, Sr., 86, of Biloxi, MS died on Thursday, May 1, 2008 in Biloxi, MS. Mr. Copeland was born in Anderson, SC but was a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a Veteran of the Army, Navy and retired from the Air Force. He was also a retiree of the Civil Service. Preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mattie Copeland; brother, Anthony Copeland, Jr. and an infant son. Survived by his wife, Beverly Huber Copeland of Biloxi; daughters, Brenda Alexander (Jamie) of Biloxi, Cindy Griffin of Biloxi, Sherry Kroitzsch of FL; son, George Copeland, Jr. of Biloxi; brother, William Copeland, Sr. of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to: American Lung Association of MS, P.O. Box 9865, Jackson, MS 39286. Visitation: Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Services: Monday, May 5, 2008 at 10:15 am. Both will be held at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
