George V. Havelin

Mr. George V. Havelin, age 76, of Ocean Springs, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Havelin was a lifelong resident of the community. He was a life member of VFW #2636, an avid golfer, a life member of the Fleur De Lis and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Louise Havelin, a sister, Mary Havelin and a brother, Wilmont Havelin. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Nancy Havelin, two daughters, Jennifer (Jeff) Evans of D'Iberville, and Mary Lee (Gordon) Hurlburt of Seneca Falls, NY, a son, George (Ann) Havelin, Jr., also of Seneca Falls, NY, a sister, Eva Jean Ross of Milton, FL., two brothers, Joe Havelin of Biloxi, and Pat Havelin of Gautier, and five grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 2, 2008, from 7-9 PM, 7 PM Rosary, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Monday, November 3, 2008, there will be an 11 AM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
