George "Mims" Venus

Mr. George Mims Venus, age 60 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020. Mims was born on December 16, 1959 in Biloxi, MS and remained a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed working on boats and anything in the Marine Industry. During his spare time, he enjoyed cars and his boats. Mims will be remembered as a unique, solid and amazing person and is sadly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, DJ Venus III and Sherry Ann Brown Venus; and sister, Sherry Venus Seymour. He is survived by his brother, David J. Venus IV; his nieces and nephews; and his retriever, Bella. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Venus family.
