Mrs. Georgia Elaine Smith, 84, of the Larue Community died Thursday, December 1, 2011 in Vancleave.
Mrs. Smith was born in New Orleans, LA. She was a resident of the coast since 1992 and a member of the Larue Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ira Smith, her parents, Charles and Mary Elizabeth Taylor; brother, Walter Taylor; and sisters, Ava Brown, Annalie Allen and Patricia Shoemaker; and three grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters, Judy (Bo) Dearman, Beverly Sue (Curtis) Crosby and Carol (Latrell) Perry; son, William "Billy" (Sandra) Boudreaux; sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Parks, Carolyn (Buddy) Griffith and Margaret; seventeen grandchildren; thirty nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers; her grandaughter, Kelli Almeda; great-grandson, Jimmy; and Camelia Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at the Larue Baptist Church on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 12:00 noon where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at the Wilkerson Cemetery in Larue, MS.
