Gerald Franklin Humphrey

Mr. Gerald F. Humphrey, 74, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Friday, March 20, 2009, in Pascagoula. Mr. Humphrey was a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and had been a resident of the Coast for the past 17 years. He was a retired U. S. Army Veteran and served in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Masonic Lodge . Mr. Humphrey was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Hazel Ferguson Humphrey; and a sister, Sue Woody. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Trevino Humphrey of Ocean Springs; daughters, Yasmin Grant of Buford, GA and Laura Aungest of Warner Robbins, GA; sons, Gerald J. Humprey of Rye, CO, and Anthony C. Humphrey of Cleveland, GA; sister, Faye Ware of Knoxville, TN; brother, Robert Leroy Humphery of Canton, GA; and six grandchildren. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at Temple Baptist Church in Biloxi where friends may visit from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Mr. Humphrey will be sent to Canton, GA for interment in Georgia National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 409410, Atlanta, GA 30384-9410. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements.
