Gerald "Jerry" Sherman Cochran

Gerald “Jerry” Sherman Cochran, age 69, of Ocean Springs passed away February 18, 2022. Jerry served in two branches of the military, 2 years in the Navy and briefly in the Army. Although he served his country in the Military, Jerry also loved to have fun. In his younger days he was one of the most talented dancers and roller skaters. He also loved music, attending concerts, playing the drums (or tapping that steering wheel to the beat with his comb) driving up and down the beach watching the people and seeing the sights and, most of all, watching his beloved cowboy movies. He was an avid “Saints Fan" and could be seen driving all over town with his cap on. A drunk driver might have changed his life, but he was a true soldier and he lived his life to the fullest and was always full of cheer and good conversation.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents James and Bertha Cochran.
He is survived by his siblings, Gloria Jean Manning, Donald Cochran, Catherine Latimore, James “Billy” Cochran, Jessica (Chester) Blackmon and Marie Cochran; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 10 to 11 am at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, MS, with a service to follow at 11 am.  Bradford-O'Keefe is honored to serve the family of Gerald "Jerry" Sherman Cochran.
