Gerald “Jerry” Lee Husley, age 82 of Biloxi, MS passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 surrounded by his family. Jerry was a lifelong resident of the Woolmarket community. This is where he met and married the love of his life, Gwen. Together they built a beautiful life, always remaining active in their community and surrounding themselves with family and friends. He was a graduate of Harrison Central High School and retired from Teledyne Irby Steel. Up until a very short time before his death, Jerry remained very active in his day-to-day life. He enjoyed spending his days hunting, fishing or doing things at his home. He was happy knowing one of his family or friends would soon be popping in with one of his favorite desserts and good company. Jerry kept his family busy as he was always up for an adventure and most times initiated that adventure. His family was blessed to have been able to travel often and see his love of travel and outdoor activities come to fruition.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, E.H. “Pat” Husley and Ruth Ladner Husley; and by his sister, Judy Husley King. He leaves behind his loving wife, Alyce Gwendolyn Husley; children, Lisa Butler, Peggy (Nick) Bosarge and Amy (Mike) Farlow; grandchildren, Brandi Ladner, Adam Bosarge, Ashton Azzopardi and Hayden Farlow; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Durrell Husley, Theresa Goedrich and Johnny Husley; and his beloved beagles.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to SAADS Home Health Care, Dr. Eva Magiros, the staff at Greenbriar Physical Therapy, Singing River Hospital and countless others who assisted with his care.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at (800) 478-5833.
