Gerald Wayne Farley

Gerald Wayne Farley, Ocean Springs, passed away peacefully in his wife's arms on February 18, 2008. Born April 9, 1952 in Jonesboro, AR to Sopheia (Lattner ) and Hartzell Farley. Gerald attended the University of Arkansas, Jonesboro, studying music education and was a lifelong Razorback fan. He worked for many years as a cabinet maker. In 1995 Gerald began his career dealing poker in Tunica, MS where he met his soulmate, Carol. Gerald and Carol moved to Biloxi, MS and were united in marriage on September 19, 2003. At the time of his illness, Gerald worked at the Beau Rivage where he made many friends. Survivors include his devoted wife, Carol and step-son, Jeremy Fjeld of Ocean Springs; brothers, Gary of Fayetteville, AR and Jerry of Paragould, AR; and one sister, Janice Cantrell of Jonesboro, AR. Also surviving is Carol's sister and brother-in-law, Alberta and Richard Langel of Billings, MT; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Special thanks for the loving care provided by Dr. Darrell Finlay, MD, his nurse, Toni Jones, as well as Christie, Kim and Lou of Ocean Springs, Hospital. The very special care and concern of the staff of Hospice Care of LA and MS is so very much appreciated. A celebration of Gerald's life will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs with visitation following the service.
