Geraldine “Jerri” Harris, a resident of Biloxi, MS died at Biloxi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the age of 83 years old. She has gone home to be with the Lord. Mrs. Harris was born February 1, 1932 in Pensacola, Fl. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Her family was her life. She loved them deeply and was deeply loved in return. Mrs. Harris was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a homemaker, who also found time to be the bookkeeper for the family business for over 40 years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, bingo and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Mr. John E. “Bill” Harris; parents, Ezra J. and Mabel Franklin; son, Johnny D. Harris; grandson, John Colby Harris. Survivors include son, Kenneth (Sandy) Harris; daughters, Lynn Gerych, Cassie (David) Forshee, and Renee Harris Jenkins; grandchildren, Dana, Kit, Jay, Justin, Jennifer, Kelly, Meagan and Branden; great-grandchildren, Logan, Averie, Ayden, Peyton, Jace and Jayla. She is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Franklin; sister, Diane Hazelwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A private memorial service for family and friends is planned at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
