Geraldine Caldwell Robinson, age 79, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016.
Geraldine was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She was an accomplished artist, and enjoyed traveling abroad and participating in the Coast's Arts and Crafts shows with her husband Don. She later opened the North Bay Art Gallery, where she enjoyed teaching art to both children and adults.
She was a graduate of Biloxi High School and completed pre-nursing training at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi, where she worked for several years. She later decided to pursue her love of art and returned to college where she received an art degree later teaching art in the St. Martin School district. She most recently served several years as a docent at the Ohr-Okeefe Museum of Art in Biloxi, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Ednae Williams, her father, Houston Leo Caldwell, and a brother, Robert Simmons.
She is survived by her loving husband, Hugh Don Robinson, a sister Amy (Jimmy) Harris of Ocean Springs, a brother, Pete (Lula) Simmons; two daughters, Sharon Christine Gonzales of Gautier, Rhonda Gay Sanford (Reverend Randy Sanford) of Seminary, a son, Michael Franklin Thomas (Michelle) and a step-daughter, Dr. Pamela Banister (Craig) of Ocean Springs.
She has nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Her greatest joy in life was witnessing for Jesus Christ and bringing others to the Cross. She leaves behind a great legacy of soul winning, generosity and helping others.
She was a member of the Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast on Popps Ferry Road, where services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016. Visitation is from 5-7:30 p.m., and the service begins at 7:30 p.m. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Jesus Name Apostolic Church Cemetery in Seminary, Mississippi.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
