Germaine Kay Baronich

Mrs. Germaine Kay "Jerry Kay" Baronich, 65, of Biloxi, MS, passed to eternal life Friday, March 5, 2010, in Biloxi. Jerry Kay was a member of St. Michael Parish Catholic Church. She had a career in retail sales as manager of both Austin's and Deedy's Dress & Bridal Gallery, and retired from Gayfer's Department Store as department manager. She was a longtime member of the Slavonian Ladies Auxiliary of the Slavic Benevolent Association in Biloxi. Jerry Kay loved Mardi Gras and had been a member of the Krewe of Fantasia, Bonne Vivants and Krew of Athena, of which she was queen in 1985. Jerry Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Parker Duncan and Velma Anglada Wilkerson, as well as the father figure in her life, Cyril "Bob" Wilkinson. She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Bobby Baronich; their sons, Billy (Lindsey) Baronich and Michael Baronich; three grandchildren, Jordan Baronich, Jessica Baronich and Parker Duncan Baronich; her sister, Anna Lee Wilkinson; very dear niece and nephews, Elizabeth "Liz" Wilkinson, Parker Duncan "Joey" (Gale) Wilkinson, Robbie (Bambi) Wilkinson; brother-in-law, Cotton Baronich of Jackson; eight nieces and five nephews by marriage and countless great nieces and nephews; and a beloved pet, Chuckie. The family would like to thank Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Dr. Paul Pavlov and the staff at Ocean Springs Hospital 2nd floor east for their care and patience. The family would also like to especially thank Debbie Roberson and the entire staff of Heaven's Harbor for their loving care and attention during the past two months. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel where friends may visit from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
