Gerry Tootle

Gerry Tootle, age 61, died Friday, April 6, 2007 in Sarasota, Florida. He was a resident of the Sailing Yacht "Epiphany", homeported out of Gulfport. He was born in Fayette, Alabama and had been a resident of Gulfport for most of his life. He was a graduate of Gulfport High School and was previously employed with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office and was a highly decorated Vietnam era Marine. He attended Beach Church of Georgetown, Exhuma, the Bahamas. He was preceded in death by his parents, M.E. and M. L. Tootle. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Meredith (Rusty) White and Christina (Jeremy) Slade, both of Gulfport; a son, Jeremy Tootle of Gulfport; two step-sons, Dean McKay of Biloxi and Chad Felker of Gulfport; a granddaughter, Madison White; a step-granddaughter, Abigael McKay; and his former wife, Diane Snowden Tootle of Gulfport. Visitation will be held Friday , April 13, 2007 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport . The funeral service will be Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
