Ginger McElroy Terry

Ginger McElroy Terry, 48, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at her home in Gulfport.

She was born on November 17, 1974 in Houma, LA.  Her parents are Charles Francis McElroy, Jr. and Doris Ball McElroy.  Ginger earned an associates degree at MS Gulf Coast Community College and served in the LA Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer, 51 Bravo.  She was a homemaker who was interested in gardening, puzzles, shopping, going for walks, writing in her journal, remodeling and being a full-time grandmother.

Ginger was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles McElroy, Sr. and Anna Mae McElroy. 

She is survived by her parents; her spouse, Jonathan Robert Terry; her children, Chad Girard “CJ” (Meaghan), Meagan Girard (children’s father Cordaro Longino, Sr.), Trevor Terry (Elizabeth) and Amber Terry; grandchildren, Skyler, Evans, Everly, Cordaro, Jr., Janiah, Jakayla, Jaleah, Jamiya, Oshun and Ahmad, Jr.; siblings, Trinity McElroy Horton, Charles Francis McElroy, III “Joe” (Bridget) and Larry Ball; and her dog, Jack.

There will be a visitation on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue location of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

Thanks to all her friends that were a part of her life and are more like family than friends.   In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be sent to the family or to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Biloxi VA burial services.
