Gladys Burke Eleuterius, 83, of Purvis, MS died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in Purvis.
Gladys was born in Biloxi and a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast, a member of the French Club and a member of the Golden Age Jolly Travelers. She was employed for many years as a waitress at the White Pillars and Sea-N-Sirloin. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church for many years.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Jack Eleuterius, Sr., her parents, Simon and Ida Burke, brothers, Raymond Burke and Elmic Burke, sisters, Louella Donahue and Maude Lynch.
Survivors include her daughters, Rhoda Colfield and her husband, Mike of Metairie, LA, Eva "Tuny" Potts and her husband, Henry of Purvis, MS, and Ferrell "Tweety" Morris and her husband, Craig of Gonzales, LA, her son, Jack Eleuterius, Jr. and his wife Claire of Biloxi. Survivors also include grandchildren, Jack Eleuterius, III, Lauren Ellis and her husband, Glenn, Keith Eleuterius, Brent Cofield and his wife, Erica, Byron Cofield and his wife, Jennifer, Jake Marinovich III and his, wife Amber, Devin and Rochelle Rankin. Great-Grandchildren, Cloey Knapp, Noah Marinovich, Shya Cofield and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Friday, March 21, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Both will take place at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery.
