Glenda Ann Elliott

Glenda Ann McCoy Price Elliott, entered this life on May 8, 1945, in Pensacola, Florida, and died January 30, 2006, in Ocean Springs Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Northside Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband, Donald Elliott, two daughters, Deborah Bethany of Pascagoula and Tracie Hicks of Ocean Springs, two step-children, Kevin Elliott and Lisa Delgado of Ocean Springs, eight grandchildren, her mother, Dolores (Karl) Woodrig of Gautier, MS., and father, Jack McCoy of Ocean Springs, MS.,, two sisters, Carolyn (David) Nash of Pascagoula and Cindy (Dennis) Shore of Louisville, KY, a brother, Joe (Ronda) Dankof of Omaha, NE., numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Glenda will always be remembered for the voice of an "angel" that filled many an ear with beautiful music. She loved to sing not only to her babies, but also to the Lord whom she loved so much. Glenda never met a challenge that she would not at least try. Glenda had a passion for life and fulfilled it with love and prayers for others even to the end. Glenda spent her last years loving the Lord and preparing for her departure into the pearly gates where she met her loved ones that have preceded her in death. Jesus has opened up the pearly gates of Heaven and has let this beautiful lady walk the streets of gold. One of Glenda's favorite Bible verses was, "This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.", John 15:12-13. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 2, 2006, from 5-7 PM at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, February 3, 2006, there will be a 9:30 AM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
