Mrs. Glenda F. Corder (The Vinyl Lady), 60, of Gulfport, MS, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, in Jackson, MS. Mrs. Corder was born in Manard, TX, and had been a resident of the coast about 40 years. She was known as "The Vinyl Lady". She was a member of Long Beach Community Church and a former auxiliary officer with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office. Mrs. Corder was preceded in death by her parents, F. C. and Mavis Smith. She is survived by her husband, Herbie G. Corder of Gulfport; daughter, Shay Cjara Sudduth of Biloxi; step-daughter, Teresa Robin Wood of Tulsa, OK; son, Ben F. (April) Sudduth, Jr. of Gulfport; step-sons, Richard Bryan Corder and Ronald Keith Corder of Gulfport; sisters, Charlene Fagan of Petal, MS, Patricia Davis of Helena, AL, Jane Ross of Vancleave; brothers, Felix Charles Smith, Jr. of Gulfport and Michael Stacy Smith of Gautier; eight grandchildren, Dillon Sudduth, Dalton Sudduth, Gracie Sudduth, John Baker, Jr., Amanda Corder, Bryan Corder, Jaime Wood and Alana Wood; two great grandchildren, Dillon Jacob Sudduth, Jr. and Madelyn Corder; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is today, Sunday, May 2, 2010, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, in Gulfport. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2010, at Long Beach Community Church, 186 E. Old Pass Road where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Finley Cemetery.
