Glenda Dale Lamey, 76, of Crestview, FL, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
She was born on April 25, 1946 in Crystal Springs, MS to Carsey and Annie Phillips. Before moving to Crestview, FL, she was a resident of Gautier, MS for 36 years. She graduated from Crystal Springs High School. During her time at high school, she was awarded most beautiful, Homecoming Queen, and head cheerleader. She was employed as a Dental Hygienist but also served on mission trips to Haiti and as a volunteer for the Walter Anderson Museum of Art. She enjoyed boating, the beach, creating greeting cards, water skiing, and art, especially chalk.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lamey; parents, Carsey and Annie Phillips; siblings, Emmett “Buddy” Kelley, Juanita Zelfer, Eugene Phillips, and Mary Dickerson-Higdon.
She is survived by her daughter, Traci Lamey-Willoughby; son-in-law, Joshua Willoughby; grandchild, Brantlee Willoughby; and siblings, Betty Hammons, Patricia Beasley, and Jay Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida, 5200 Bayou Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32503.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue. Friends may visit one hour prior.
