Glennie Virgil Russell, Jr.

Mr. Glennie V. Russell, Jr., age 67, of the St. Martin Community, died Thursday, August 4, 2011, in St. Martin. Mr. Russell was a lifelong resident of St. Martin and a graduate of St. Martin High School. He served as a Police Officer for the City of Ocean Springs until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Lora J. Russell, daughter, Janelle Laurent, stepdaughters, Janice Nelson, Amanda Smith of Fayetteville, N.C. and Trudy Waters, son, Troy Russell of Nashville, TN., stepsons, Larkin (Sonny) Nelson, Mark Nelson and Boyd Moretz, fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, August 8, 2011, from 12 Noon until 2 PM, with a 2 PM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ryan Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to a family friend, Pedro Montoya and to the Hospice of Light caretakers.
