Gloria G. "Glo" Davis, 80, of the St. Martin Community, passed away on Friday, February, 22, 2008 in Ocean Springs, MS. Mrs. Davis was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the St. Martin Community. She was a member of the North Bay Senior Citizen's Club, St. Martin Lioness Club and served many years with the Altar Society and as a Eucharistic Minister with the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville. The highlights of her life included attending the various functions of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her annual vacation trips to attend family reunions in Texas and Oklahoma. She also enjoyed taking part in the travel trips of the Senior Citizen's group. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William C. "Bill" Davis; parents, Daisy Bell Garcia and Arthur N. Groue; sisters, Myrtle Broadnax and Doris Broussard; brother, Warren "Buster" Groue. She leaves behind her daughters, Glenda Davis Fountain and Kathy Davis Satchfield both of Ocean Springs; son, William Ray "Billy" Davis and wife, Lenna of the Latimer Community; sisters, Bernice Letort of D'Iberville and Betty Dugan of the St. Martin Community; grandchildren, Trudy Fountain, Jody Fountain, Deedy Gallagher, Rodney Fountain, Jeannie Caillouet, Mike Davis, Michelle Davis, Renae Davis, Traci Dobbins, Chris Blake, Shaun Blake, Kendra Satchfield, and Brandy Satchfield; great-grandchildren, Zachary Fountain, Seth Fountain, Jackson Fountain, Josey Fountain, Joseph Fountain, Noah Fountain, Myranda Gallagher, Steven Gallagher, Jacob Fountain, Addison Fountain, Emilee Fried, Alyssa Fried, Sebastian Dobbins, Myler Dobbins, Christian Dinh, Emersyn Blake, Gabriel Davis, Richard Figueroa, Tre' Caillouet, Kai Caillouet and Angeline Caillouet; brother-in-law, Willard Davis and wife, Dorothy, Abilene, TX; brother-in-law, Bartis Knight, Lawn, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. She has gone to join Bill so they can waltz across Texas together forever! Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with Rosary at 6:00 pm at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church where friends may call one hour prior to service.
