Gloria Gilkey Speed

Mrs. Gloria Gilkey Speed, 71, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Saturday, June 10, 2006 in Ocean Springs. She was a resident of the coast for 34 years and was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Speed is preceded in death by her father; T.H. Gilkey. She is survived by her husband; John C. Speed, Jr., two daughters; Vicki Schannhorst and Brenda Mitchell, four grandchildren; John A. Thomas, Lauren E. Mitchell, Michael Jenifer, and Sarah Mitchell, all of Ocean Springs, her mother; Opal E. Stewart of Petal, MS, and one brother; Sam Gilkey of Hattiesburg, MS. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Homes. Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until service time. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs.
