Gloria Palazzo Jones

Gloria Palazzo Jones, age 86, of Gulfport, departed this life on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the home of her son in Reydell, AR. She was born in Gulfport on December 4, 1927 to Virgie and Salvatore Palazzo. She married the love of her life, John E. Jones, Sr. and together shared 61 years of memories. She loved life and her family. She was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church and a retired secretary of Bayou View Junior High School in Gulfport. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and three brothers, Frank S. Palazzo, Sr., Anthony J. Palazzo, and Joseph E. Palazzo, all of Gulfport. She is survived by a son, John “Dusty” E. Jones, Jr. (Linda) and a granddaughter, Casey Logsdon (Kyle) of Reydell, AR; a number of nieces and nephews including Sharon P. Geil (Donny), who held a special place in her heart. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport with Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon.
