Gloria Jane Tiblier Jordan

On Thursday, November 21, 2019, Gloria Jordan, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away in her home at the tender age of 86, surrounded by family and the peace of Jesus. Gloria was born in Biloxi to Winslow and Jane Tiblier. She married Robert Jordan on October 19, 1953. They raised one son, Robert (Lisa) Jordan Jr., and three daughters, Barbara (Donald) Balius, Melinda Randall, and Karen (Dennis) Whalen. Known by her family as “Granny,” Gloria was a talented cook, artist, and seamstress. She loved working on jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her family (especially her great grandbabies), and watching Braves baseball and the Wheel of Fortune. She could always be counted on for an honest opinion, loving advice, and a caring heart. She would want to be remembered as someone who loved Jesus, her husband, and her family. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, brother JW Tiblier, and sisters Iris Creel and Genevieve Evans. She is survived by her husband, four children, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister Bernadette Everett, and brothers Jimmy Tiblier and Tommy Tiblier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held to celebrate her life at St. Mary Catholic Church in Woolmarket, MS, on Monday, November 25, 2019, at 10:30AM. Friends are invited to the visitation beginning at 9:30AM. Burial will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Woolmarket, in her memory. The family would like to extend special appreciation to the Merit Health Biloxi nursing staff and Saad Healthcare and Hospice for wonderful care in a delicate time.
