Gloria Porter Pucheu, age 96, of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024.
Gloria was born on February 13, 1928 in Gulfport and attended Gulfport High School. She enjoyed antiquing, crocheting, reading, lunches, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, James L. Porter, Sr. and Cora Weeks Porter; husband, Harvey A. Pucheu; granddaughter, Anne Marie Pucheu; great-grandson, Lennon Michael Irby; brother, James L. “Buddy” Porter; son-in-law, Judd Harney.
Survivors include 7 children, Sherry Smith (Rodney), Porter Pucheu (Connie), Renee Ward (Michael), Judy O’Neal (David), JoAnne Daniels (Clay), Jon Pucheu, and Randy Pucheu (Juli); 14 grandchildren, Jill Militello (Sal), April Descher (Todd Ishee), Pam Pannell (Walt), Melissa Caldwell (Richie), Matthew Ward, Lauren Lewis, Catherine Frederic (Ryan), Genna Irby (Stephen), Christopher O’Neal (Lacey), Jacob O’Neal (Jessica), Casey Drieling (Bryan), Lacy Pucheu, Ashleigh Smith (Tyler), and Haleigh Bates (Bennett); and 25 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Friends may visit one-hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Pucheu family.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2414 17th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.
