Gordon A. Switzer

Mr. Gordon A. Switzer, 70, of Gulfport, MS, died Thursday, April 6, 2006, in Gulfport. Mr. Switzer was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and retired from Ingall's Shipbuilding as a sheet metal supervisor. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Switzer was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Artie Switzer; two sisters, Isabelle Skinner and Ruby Dobson, and three brothers, Julien Switzer, Harold Switzer and Dick Switzer. Survivors include his wife, Betty Switzer, of Gulfport; one daughter, Joy Switzer, of Ocean Springs; one son, Grover Switzer and his wife, Tina, of Ocean Springs; three sisters, Lou Walker of D'Iberville, Ruth Beard of Gulfport, and Elsie Freeman of St. Martin, and two grandchildren, Leslie Switzer and Chaise Switzer of Ocean Springs. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2006, at 12 noon at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit from 11 a. m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
