Gordon Elbert Jones

Gordon E. Jones, 80 of D'Iberville, MS died Friday, February 15, 2008, in Ocean Springs. Gordon was a member of Cedar Lake United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army, loved to work in his yard and visit with his family. He was the Gulf Coast Golf Champion when he was 16. Gordon graduated from Biloxi High in 1945. He was an avid Braves Baseball fan and loved the New Orleans Saints. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Cucurullo, parents, Frank D. Jones and Alberta Hosli Jones. Survivors include his sisters, Glenna Phillips and her husband, Ray Phillips, of D'Iberville, Velma Kruse of Grand Rapids, MI, step-granddaughter, Denise Cruthirds, nephews, Gary Phillips of Kansas City, KS, Ralph Phillips of Omaha, NE, Larry D. Phillips of Virginia Beach, VA and niece, Nancee Woudstra of Grand Rapids, MI. Visitation is Tuesday, February 19, 2008, from 11:00 until 11:30 a.m. Service will be 11:30 a.m. Both will be at Cedar Lake United Methodist Church. Interment at Coalville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Ave., Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
