Gordon Lewis

Gordon "Gordy" E. Lewis, 62, of Gulfport died Thursday, August 31, 2006 in Gulfport. Mr. Lewis was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport. He served as Dispatcher with Gulfport Fire Department for fourteen years and served as Assistant Chief with Biloxi Police Department Auxillary and was also Assistant Harrison County Constable. After retiring, he was a delivery man for Sartin's Drug Store. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Evelyn Simmons Lewis; a son, Travis Lewis; and two brothers, Eldon M. Lewis and Melvin P. Lewis. He is survived by three sons, Eric Shane Lewis of Gulfport , Garrett Wayne Lewis of Paducah, KY and Richard W. Lewis of Perkinston; four sisters, Pat Warden and her husband, Thomas W. of Gulfport, Jenny Lewis and her husband, Charles McCollister of Wiggins, Brenda Netto and her husband, Teddy, of Pass Christian and Cheryl Lewis of Biloxi; nine grandchildren; a very close friend Rodney McGilvary, his wife, Patty, and daughter, Kathleen ; and numerous close friends and relatives. Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2006 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport.
