Grace Madeline Batia, 84, of D'Iberville, MS died on Monday, April 4, 2011. Mrs. Batia was a member of several local clubs including, Pokeno Club, Senior Citizens of North Bay, Young at Heart Club and Tripoli Club. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Batia is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Batia; parents, Frank James and Regina Fountain Seymour. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Reyes of Ocean Springs; son, Eugene Cecil (Debbie) Batia of Biloxi; sisters, Eunice Flowers of Jackson, Jean Duhon of D'Iberville and Fern Jordan of Gulfport; brothers, Raymond Seymour of Gulfport and Dennis Seymour of Ocean Springs; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Hayes of Sevierville, TN, Nicole (George Cates) Myrick of D'Iberville, Melissa (Troy) Williams of Biloxi, Kempton (Natalie) Batia of Biloxi; seven great-grandchildren, Brooke and Corey Gospondinovich, Alyssa Cates, Grayson and Brayden Williams, Dylan Hayes and Presley Grace Batia. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
